The illusion of the laboratory. Why off-the-shelf loudspeaker models fail in your home.
Major loudspeaker brands design their products in a room that doesn't exist: the anechoic chamber, an artificial, reflection-free space built only to measure — never to listen. When that same loudspeaker enters your home, the room rebels: walls reflect the sound, the bass turns muddy, voices recede, and the ear tires quickly.
To fix this, the market asks you to adapt: change your room for the loudspeaker, or cover the walls with sound-absorbing panels that alter their look. It's the same logic as mass-market luxury fashion: you pay for the label stitched onto the tag, not for the actual fit.
AkuTek works the other way round. We listen to your room first, then design the loudspeaker that belongs to it — a bespoke acoustic correction project, tailored like a garment cut for the body that wears it, not picked from a catalogue. Signal, material, form: everything is calibrated to your space, until the room simply disappears and only the sound remains.
Two principles we consider fundamental guide every project we undertake.
Form follows function.
Design must be functional, and that function must translate into visual harmony without relying on passing aesthetic trends.
Respect for the original design.
We prefer not to impose foreign elements on a space that wasn't designed for them. We honour your original design in two possible ways:
- Fully concealed, behind acoustically transparent panels that leave every surface untouched;
- In full view, as acoustic sculptures that faithfully echo the woods, fabrics and palette of your interior design.
A story of listening, materials and emotion.
The beginning: the culture of pure listening
It all began in the late 1980s and early 1990s, a golden age for high fidelity, when listening to music was never distracted background noise, but a genuine ritual. In those years I trained my ear in the strictest of schools: absolute tonal accuracy, the pursuit of the perfect virtual soundstage, respect for the original vibration of instruments and voices.
For more than thirty years I've dedicated my life to this: understanding the intimate nature of sound. I soon realised that the mass market, with its industrial, mass-produced goods, forces enthusiasts into unacceptable compromises. Ordinary loudspeakers crush the dynamics, strip the music of its breath and dull the emotion of a live concert. That's why I chose a different path: designing and shaping unique solutions for those who aren't looking for a catalogue item, but the overwhelming, visceral impact of real music.
The evolution: conquering the room
About fifteen years ago, my research took a natural evolution. The desire for total immersion pushed me beyond the boundaries of classic stereo listening, leading me to dedicate myself to the full, turnkey creation of private cinema rooms. I realised that to truly unleash the energy of a work of art — be it an orchestral symphony or a great film score — I couldn't limit myself to building the loudspeaker. I had to govern the entire room.
Since then I've learned to converse with structural matter: the study of silence through the acoustic isolation of walls, the artistic direction of interiors, the choice of tailored furnishings able to welcome sound instead of rejecting it. My approach has grown into a true concept of Audio Tailoring: stitching together a bespoke sensory experience, in millimetre-perfect harmony with the room and with the desires of the people who live in it.
The philosophy today: technology in the service of the soul
Today, under the AkuTek brand, I bring this vision to completion. Despite using the most advanced digital technologies in the world — a cutting-edge system of temporal and spectral alignment, which makes the loudspeakers actively cooperate to detect and cancel the sonic anomalies generated by the walls, for absolute stability and tightness in the low frequencies — my philosophy remains unchanged. Technology, for me, is never an end in itself, nor a display of laboratory numbers or graphs. It's the invisible means to set pure emotion free.
I put my history, my sensibility and thirty years of experience at the service of your project. My purpose isn't to fill your home with equipment, but to give you a place of escape: a place where, at the touch of a single button, the walls of your home seem to open up, leaving you alone, at last, with the truth of sound.
“The more advanced the technology, the better it must know how to hide behind the emotion.”

Audio Tailoring
Extremely high-efficiency sound systems with overwhelming dynamics. Every loudspeaker is a unique piece, shaped to the dimensions of the room and finished with tailored materials chosen together with you.
The Architecture of Silence
We treat the bare structures and walls to contain the energy of sound. You'll be able to experience the visceral impact of a concert late at night, fully respecting your family's peace and quiet.
Light and Video Scenography
Technology in the service of your comfort. Flawless film projection coordinated with lighting choreography that fades gently, for a ritual of pure escape.
Time-Domain Calibration
Through a cutting-edge system of digital time-domain calibration, we train the loudspeakers to work together, instantly detecting and cancelling the boominess caused by the walls. The bass becomes rock solid.
The room stays as it is. The sound learns to live in it.
Our listening expertise, in synergy with the most advanced digital acoustic calibration technologies: the method that leads to excellence.
Your tastes and your needs, the starting point.
The project begins with an intimate conversation about your musical tastes and the feelings you're looking for.
The study of the room
We analyse the geometry and surfaces of your room to prevent acoustic defects.
The architecture of the signal
Together we choose between the purist passive route or the digital active route, governed by time-domain processors.
Craftsmanship and logistics
We call on our own long-standing artisans, or we take on the technical direction and supervision of the professionals you've chosen.
Room acoustic correction, in every possible form.
Every treatment arises from the same physical need — controlling the boominess of a room — but it can take infinite forms: wall geometries, backlit sculptures, clouds suspended from the ceiling, even your favourite photograph printed onto a sound-absorbing panel.
A necessity for everyday comfort, in every enclosed space.
It isn't soundproofing
Soundproofing and acoustic correction are different interventions, often confused with each other. The first stops sound from passing through the walls, so as not to disturb the outside. The second acts inside the room, giving back clean listening to the people living in it. It's correction, not soundproofing, that determines the quality of the sound you actually hear.
The brain gets tired, even when you don't notice
In a room with reflective surfaces, following a conversation or a lecture takes an effort your brain makes without telling you. Not every combination of sounds is pleasant to us: a poorly-treated room lowers concentration long before it becomes annoying.
It matters at work too
Open-plan offices, meeting rooms, classrooms: wherever surfaces reflect instead of absorbing, speech intelligibility drops and fatigue rises. A treatment targeted at the frequencies of the human voice restores clarity, without anyone needing to raise their voice.
Even small spaces benefit
Restaurants, bars, wine bars: the background noise of several simultaneous conversations is often the real reason a venue feels tiring. Sound-absorbing panels, even bespoke ones, are enough to restore a pleasant atmosphere.
The acoustic partner for your design vision.
AkuTek is your technological right hand on site. We know how precious and delicate the visual balance of a high-end interior project can be. We offer full technical direction, so that acoustic provisions are integrated seamlessly with the local contractors and craftsmen you've already chosen — never compromising the symmetries, materials or geometries of your concept.

A tailor doesn't dress a client: he studies them, and cuts a suit that no off-the-rack size could ever match — often for less than the cost of a famous label, because that price tag is paying for the logo, not the fit. It's the same principle I apply to every loudspeaker I design and build: I'm not paying for an international distribution network, only for the work dedicated to your room.
